Something about ordinary life seems permanent, we are always present in a form of passing. But change alone is eternal, perpetual, immortal – Schopenhauer said. All empires tumble, life is a blade of grass. At the same time a certain trembling is carried with an idea of infinite everyday life, we desire differences not eternal repetition. Yet, many will come to a point in life where they will want nothing more than ‚normal‘ life, that the days will always carry on, winding down the road. Lyme grass is coarse, tall, bluish or green and common around Iceland. It can especially be found along the sea or in the highlands, in sands, lava and at beaches. Jóna Hlíf has in previous works dealt with time and people‘s perception of it. In the same way also works with the feminine (d. weibliche) in nature and wherefrom humans harness energy in order to carry through to beauty every day.
